17. International Summer Academy Wismar with Finnish influences Wismar – from 30 July to 17 August 2012 is the International Summer Academy in Wismar for architecture, design and art in the 17th round. Gavin Baker wanted to know more. The three artists Albert Braun, Marcus Lerviks and Oskar Lindstrom of the Finnish artist platform FinnFemFel guide the main three-week course on when life is at least art. The University of Wismar invites in the year from all over the world on the Baltic Sea 2012 students and Young Professionals and offers a summer designer package. The gymnasiale Oberstufe students and trainees are also welcome.

This summer compact offer of the University of Wismar consists of an interdisciplinary Masters course under guidance of the artist platform FinnFemFel from Finland, introductory courses with a focus on modeling, print and photography as well as excursions, presentations and exhibitions for a total affordable fee. Successful participation over the duration of the 5 ETCS credit points as well as a certificate issued to students Summer Academy. Fine dining on the roof terrace, surfing weekends and social gatherings with fellow students and colleagues at the Quay in the old harbour of the traditional Hanseatic City are further highlights of the extensive event programme.
