Consulting firm Gallup published engagement index 2010 Berlin, February 9, 2011 many companies Executives ignore the Central needs and expectations of its employees remains partially or completely. The result is a low motivation of employees: 21 percent have no emotional attachment to their company and behave destructively in the workplace, i.e. they show unwanted behavior, which is to the detriment of the performance and competitiveness of the companies. Only 13 percent of employees have a high emotional attachment and are ready to work voluntarily for their employer and its objectives. The vast majority of workers, a total of 66 percent, has only a low emotional attachment and provides service only according to the instructions.

High costs for the economy and companies the emotional employee retention thus still remains on a low level. The results have not significantly changed compared to the previous year. “Marco Nink, strategic consultant at Gallup, warns therefore: an economic damage between 121,8 and 125.7 billion euro is caused by the resulting loss of productivity.” The missing motivation of employees get the company to feel: because emotionally unbound employees wise 27.8 percent higher absenteeism on than their emotionally-bound counterparts.
